A LIFE OF MINISTRY
Rev. Corey D. Johnson brings nearly 32 years of dedicated ministry experience, including almost 17 years of senior pastoral service. Ordained in 1995, his preaching and ministerial journey has included service to two congregations in Ohio and Tennessee.
CHAPLAINCY AND PASTORAL CARE
Rev. Johnson is fully denominationally endorsed as a chaplain by the National Baptist Convention of America International (NBCA Int’l), under the leadership of President Reverend Samuel Tolbert. His commitment to spiritual guidance and support is unwavering. He has also been board-certified in chaplaincy by the Association of Board of Chaplains for nearly 15 years, further demonstrating his credibility and expertise in the field.
INNOVATIVE AND GLOBAL MINISTRY
His ministry has included serving as a mission worker for the Lott Carey International Organization and providing pastoral care, counseling, and consultation to leaders. Most recently, he led the First Bible Church Ministry, the first social media outreach ministry sponsored by the National Baptist Convention of America, International, Inc. This ministry reflected his continued commitment to innovative, accessible ministry and his ability to adapt to the evolving landscape of spiritual outreach and engagement. Throughout his career, Rev. Johnson’s pastoral leadership has been evident across healthcare, education, and ministry-related fields.
EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP
Rev. Johnson studied at the University of Tennessee at Martin and attended Memphis Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Arts in Religion and a Master of Divinity. He also served as adjunct faculty at Malone College and Walsh University. This extensive educational experience has allowed him to serve in a variety of environments globally, enriching his understanding of relevant ministry and practical leadership.

Rev. Corey D. Johnson is married to Beverly Johnson. He is a proud father, grateful husband, loving son, and the youngest of four siblings. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and an Army Desert Shield/Storm Combat Veteran.
